Institute Innovation Council

Vision

To promote the wheel of excellence in Innovation, Incubation, startups and entrepreneurship to uplift the institution towards eminence of excellence in technical education.

Mission

  • Encourage the faculty participation in Ambassador training Programmes at different levels
  • Creation of Mentor-Mentee System using technology transfer approach

  • Conduct workshops/seminars to expose and promote innovative thinking at regular intervals

  • Create Business model and Network with entrepreneur development cell

    Functions of IIC

    Promote innovation in the Institution through multitudinous modes leading to an innovation promotion eco-system in the campus.
    To conduct various innovation and entrepreneurship-related activities prescribed by Central MIC in time bounded fashion.
    Identify and reward innovations and share success stories.
    Organize periodic workshops/ seminars/ interactions with entrepreneurs, investors, professionals and create a mentor pool for student innovators.
    Network with peers and national entrepreneurship development organizations.
    Create an Institution’s Innovation portal to highlight innovative projects carried out by institution’s faculty and students.
    Organize Hackathons, idea competition, mini-challenges etc., with the involvement of industry.
    Benefits to Institute, Faculty and Students No major capital investment required for establishing IIC as it will make use of existing local ecosystem.
    Students/Faculty associated with IIC will get exclusive opportunity to participate in various Innovation related initiatives and competitions organized by MHRD.

    Key Functionaries

    IIC President

    To Prepare IIC Self Driven Calendar Activities and Organize the various events of MIC Driven Activities and Self Driven Activities Conduct Review Meetings for every Quarter. Identify the scope of the activities and depute faculty members and students to take part in IIC Activities.

    IIC Vice-President

    Record the Minutes of the Meetings of IIC Members Coordinator of Idea Creation activities such as Hackathon and Incubation Unit

    IIC Convenor

    To Upload the activities of IIC to IIC Portal Participation in Ambassador Training Programmme – Basic Level and Advanced Level Train the Trainers - Conduct Ambassador Training Programme to other faculty members of the institution to become a Ambassador of IIC Conduct various Innovation Promotion Programme for faculty members and students

    Innonvation Activity Coordinator

    Primary responsible for organising and coordinating after Innovation promotion activities and extend support to other activities.

    Startup Activity Coordinator

    To conduct various start-up activity awareness programme and take initiative avenues for start-up activities.

    IPR Activity Coordinator

    To conduct various IPR Programme awareness programme and take initiative avenues for IPR activities, mentoring and extend support to other activities.

    Internship Coordinator

    Register for AICTE Internshala Programme and encourage to attend the Internshala. Primary responsible for organizing and coordinating after Internship opportunity and engage student in Start-ups, innovation labs and incubation centre etc. to promote innovation activities and extend support to other activities

    Social Media Coordinator

    Post the IIC events in the institution website and other social medias such as facebook, twitter, Instagram to publicize the events. Primary responsible for organizing and coordinating after social media promotion and public relation and effectively communicating regarding various activities undertaken to promote innovation activities and extend support to other activities.

    AIIRA Coordinator

    Primary responsible for creating repository and advising on more innovation and startup activities in campus to increase the ranking in ARIIA and also extend support to other activities.

    NIRF Coordinator

    Primary responsible for creating repository and advising on more innovation and Research activities in campus to increase the ranking in NIRF and also extend support to other activities.

    Journey of IIC

    A.V.C.C.E has established Instiution’s Innovation Council (IIC) as per the guidelines of ‘MoE’s Innovation Cell (MIC)’ in the year 2018. The initiative was to create a vibrant local innovation ecosystem, start-up supporting mechanism, establish function ecosystem for scouting ideas and pre-incubation of ideas and to develop better cognitive ability for technology students

    Members of IIC have attended Ambassador Training Programmes. • Organized various workshops and short-term trainings for faculty members and students. • Received the financial grant of Rs.12,000 from MHRD – IIC for the year 2019 2020 and Organized Two impact online lecture series on 25.06.2020 and 02.07.2020 respectively.. • Ambassador trainings for members of IIC, various workshops and short-term trainings were offered to the faculty members and students. • Based on the performance report of various activities conducted in the year 2019 -2020, MHRD- IIC has rated the institution with Four Star Rating. Maximum Rating Scale : 5 Star. • Smart India Hackathon – Internal Hackathon were conducted

    and Solutions for the various Ministry Problems were addressed. Two teams were selected for final round of Smart India Hackathon. In the Smart India Hackathon Grand finale, One of our team got the first prize. Cash Award of Rs.1 Lakh were received from AICTE in the year 2020 - 2021
