Red Ribbon Club The Red Ribbon club was started in the year 1993.

Goal  To prevent and reduce the occurrence of new sexually transmitted infections (incidence), particularly HIV among the youth.

Objectives  To spread awareness among the youth particularly the students about the dreaded decease the HIV/AIDS.  To reduce new occurrences of HIV infection among youth by raising their risk perception through awareness on HIV prevention methods.  To motivate youth and build their capacity as peer educators and change agents by developing their skills on leadership, negotiation, and team building.  To promote voluntary blood donation among youth.

Roles  Red Ribbon Club (RRC) Aims at harnessing the potential of the youth by equipping them with correct information on mental health, substance abuse, nutrition and reproductive health and building their capacities as peer educators in spreading messages on the positive health behaviour in an enabling environment.  Red ribbon club plays on important role in creating public awareness amongst the future generation.

Regular activities  RRC Member Orientation.  Interactive session.  Peer Education training.  Blood donation camp & Motivation programme.  Exposure visit.  Rally.  Awareness programme.

Regulations  Three years of service to the club is expected.  Students must have service as their motto.  Students will be designated to organize all the programes conducted by the club.  Students should maintain discipline and decorum of the college on all occasions.  Proper permission should be obtained from the department HOD.  On duty will be provided to the students who participate in the programe fully.  Indiscipline and misbehavior students will be dropped from the club and they cannot participate in future.  Certificate will be issued at the end of the third year.  Volunteers-50Nos of student. o First year - 40% o Second year - 30% o Third year - 30%
